Trip Around the World Garland

This idea came to me after a year and a half of 'traveling' to different countries through our Five In a Row Curriculum-- better late than never, right?!

The garland is simply flags of the countries we have learned about stapled to some twine.  Since I just thought of this, we only have two flags from our most recent rows-- the United States and Japan.  I am hoping this will prompt me to review more with Tyler and that the visual exposure will hopefully help Tyler remember some of the countries.

Since writing this post, we have added the flag of Scotland and Germany.  Check out our most recent rows to see them altogether!

  1. Kristina, what a great idea! I think for review, I will go back and make the flags of the countries we have studied so far!

  4. What a fun garland, I think we might be recreating it with our Around the World in 12 Dishes series, it will be a great way for my daughters to reminder where we've learned about and cooked dishes from. Thanks for sharing on our after school link up!
