Disney Memories

We've been home from our week long trip to Disney World for about two weeks now and I am already planning when we can go back!  There is just SO much to see and do-- it is not possible to see it all in one visit; we never made it to Epcot or went to this ice cream shoppe where you must order, "The Kitchen Sink."  But, we did see many characters, parades, enjoyed watching many shows, and thankfully took advantage of the Fast Pass system to bypass 60-90 minute waits on many of the popular rides.

My husband's "spur of the moment" attitude has rubbed off on me so much so that our trip was planned  just two weeks prior!!!  Crazy, I know!!  But everything worked out, so how could we pass up a trip to Disney World?  Though, I did find  that many restaurants were booked because you can reserve spots 180 days in advance!  Thankfully, we were still able to find Character Dining openings, and we'll have to save reservations to Teppan Edo, The Coral Reef, Dessert and fireworks buffet, and Chef Mickey's for next time!

Tyler and Abby met many characters!  Lightning and Mater were Tyler's favorite.  I would LOVE to take Tyler to Disney Land in California sometime.... they are opening a replica of Radiator Springs!!  And for Abby, at first she liked them from afar, but once they came near... she cried!  After a couple days, Abby was all about seeing and meeting the characters!
While everyone else was watching a car stunt show, Abby had her picture taken with Sulley and Mike!

The forecast called for rain every single day but we were blessed with ABSOLUTELY gorgeous and HOT weather!  It's amazing how many people-- from ALL over the world-- were enjoying themselves at Disney.  It was quite busy considering the school year was still in session!!  Don't people work and go to school ??; )

Along with the four of us, my mom and my 90-some year old Pappou came too!  It was his 1st trip to Disney--- you are never too old ; )

We had a 6 Day Hopper Pass, though we pretty much visited one park a day unless we had dinner reservations somewhere else.  We spent 2 days each at the Animal Kingdom, Universal Studios, and Magic Kingdom.  We didn't think Tyler would appreciate Epcot yet, so we'll save that for next time.  We did go to Epcot for dinner one night and saw their fabulous fireworks show while finishing our dinner!  It was perfect!

My guys after a ride on the Kali River Rapids-- so fun!

I hope you didn't mind my reminiscing!  I cannot wait to go back....
Any Disney fans with other "insider tips" and/or things to do/ see??

  2. We love Disney. It is such a fun place no matter how many times you go or how old you are. Your pictures are great! Y'all did a lot and looks like you had a wonderful time! It is so special and so neat that your Grandfather was able to go on the trip too.
